the dancing flowers
Illustration created for "The Children Spectators" contest of the Bologna Children's Book Fair 2022. The art should address the theme of the performing arts - such as music, dance, poetry, theater, exhibitions, circus, singing - related to the children's audience.
Along with the illustration, a short description should be sent to help understand its narrative. That´s the text I wrote: "When the girls started dancing, they moved into a dreamlike reality, where they turned into real flowers, dancing as softly as roses and as lovely as wildflowers."

Seeing the potential use of this illustration also in advertising, I created some mockups of posters announcing open enrollment of a fictitious Ballet academy, as well as an ecobag as a gift from the school.
